PROVIDENCE, RI (June 12, 2007). On Sunday, July 1, the East Coast Biker Chicks will host a motorcycle run to support the Rhode Island Children's Advocacy Center, a program of Day One.
Registration for the run is from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Blackstone River Visitor Center on Route 295 North in Lincoln, RI. The run will begin at noon and end at Club Gallery at 150 Point Street in Providence. The
course runs approximately 15 miles and will take about one hour to complete.
The ride is open to all motorcyclists and will take place rain or shine. The cost of the run is $15.00 per rider.
Teddy bears are collected and given to every child receiving services through the Children's Advocacy Center to make their experience less traumatic. Children are asked to choose their favorite to take home
with them. All of the bears have been donated by generous individuals and organizations.
The Children's Advocacy Center is a community partnership of professionals committed to both the pursuit
of truth in child abuse investigations and the well being of the child. In 2006, 235 children and families received services from the CAC.
